Hello! My name is Autumn Hayes, I am also known as the bug lady. I am a Bradenton native and have been a local pest management consultant since 2000. Throughout my job of teaching people how to take care of their own pest problems, rather than hiring an exterminator, I learned that our community greatly needed a solution to the head lice epidemic. 

In 2008, I began my research and training. I was shocked to learn that the OTC and prescription head lice products contained the same chemicals that are found in professional strength pesticides. I warn my customers to keep their children away from these very chemicals, for their safety. The worst part is, these dangerous and expensive products don't even get rid of the lice! 

I became dedicated to providing families with a safe, effective and affordable solution to eliminating this pesky problem. I now have the answer and started Healthy Heads, so I could teach it to you! I have perfected the strand by strand technique, commonly known as the shepherd process, of lice removal. Throughout the years, I have also figured out what comb works most efficiently.
